The Samguk Yusa Golden Bell Quiz Contest is held every autumn for high school students nationwide to compete over the knowledge of Samguk Yusa (Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms) and disseminate the diverse values of Samguk Yusa. The final contest is held with 50 finalists who pass the preliminary contests. The main contest consists of easy questions in the beginning and tough questions later to select the final winner. The winners including the finalist are given prizes and scholarships. The awards areare named after the figures in Samguk Yusa, such as King Muyeol and King Beopheungwang, adding fun and wit to the contest. This notable quiz contest is increasingly boosting the interest and thrills of parents and has become a representative edu-entertainment content at home and overseas.

The Samguk Yusa Nationwide Marathon Competition consists of 5km, 10km and half-marathon races, and the race course covers Gunwi Dam Plaza, the road surrounding the dam, Hakseong Bridge (5km return point), Goro Bridge (10km return point), Gaam Three-Way Intersection (half a marathon return point), and a return course. The competition is the country's best marathon race, offering the splendid Gunwi Dam scene, gentle course, and ample foods along with locals' generosity.
